Butytape Alu

BUTYTAPE ALU is a powerful self-adhesive sealing tape for permanent repair and protection of various surfaces. It consists of a high-performance butyl rubber adhesive compound, protected by a reinforced aluminium film.
Thanks to its special composition BUTYTAPE ALU is highly adhesive, even at low temperatures and can be applied to most materials like glass, steel, plexiglass, polycarbonate, wood and many more.
BUTYTAPE ALU is highly resistant to ageing, UV rays, weather influences as well as heat and tear. BUTYTAPE ALU is available in different sizes, making it suitable for multi-purpose applications.

  • PREPARATION:
    - The surface must be clean, dry, smooth and dust-free
    - For applications between 0°C and 5°C, ensure that frost or condensation are absent on the surface
    - In case of porous substrates, it is advisable to stabilize the surface.
    - No special tools are required to install the tape.
  • USE:
    - Choose the most suitable width of the tape
    - Unroll the tape to the desired length
    - Remove the release liner that covers the adhesive and position the tape
    - Carry out a roll-pressing to avoid entrapment of air bubbles
    - When connecting two tapes, use an overlap of at least 5 cm
    - Press with a roller or cloth pad

    - gutters (zinc, lead)
    - domes
    - chimneys
    - pipe connections in air conditions, ventialtion and heating system
    - glass or polycarbonate in greenhouse constructions and verandas
    - thermal insulation and corrosion protection of pipes
