Bitu Seal

BITU SEAL is a plasto-elastic bituminous sealant reinforced by fibers which makes it excellent for gluing and reparations on bituminous roofs. It offers a waterproof sealing of joints, seams, rooftop fences, chimneys and many more. BITU SEAL can also be used as an adhesive for insulating panels, therefore insulation must be resistant to solvents. Due to its special formulation it can immediatly be used and works efficient even at low temperatures. BITU SEAL adherese immediate and permanent on all common construction materials, such as brick, concrete, lead, zinc, tiles, insulating panels, certain plastics, etc. BITU SEAL show a temperature resistance from -50°C to + 80°C, after the product has dried/cured and all the solvents have evaporated out of the product. This might take up to 24h, depending on the thickness of the layers applied.

  • Forms a permanent plasto-elastic mass after curing
  • Can be used (cold) immediately after unwrapping
  • Tixothrope: does not drip, flow or spill and makes no threads
  • Can be used on various materials such as concrete, wood, brick, lead, PVC, polycarbonate, roof tiles...
  • Free from asbestos
  • Resistant to moisture
  • Remains flexible

  • BITU SEAL guarantees waterproof sealing of joints, seams, rooftop fences, skylights, chimneys, ventilation, tubes, drainpipes, etc.
  • All surfaces should be dry and free from dust or grease.
  • Apply BITU SEAL with a spatula or by means of a cartridge.
  • Using BITU SEAL with a catridge, it is important that the nozzle is clean and the opening large enough. For perfect adhesion, a maximum space of 3 mm is allowed between the surface and the top of the nozzle.
  • BITU SEAL should be applied in strips or spots, to allow good evaporation of the solvent.
  • For special application it is advisable to perform an adhesion test beforehand.
